Capri

The Capri Preamplifier offers a simple feature set for ease of use and a large, high-visibility display for volume level indication. The display can also be configured to turn off after 3 seconds when not in use.

As typical for JRDG products, the entire chassis of the Capri is milled from a solid, massive block of 6061 aluminum to provide a vibration-free and EMI resistant enclosure for sensitive audio circuitry.

Dual line-level outputs (balanced and unbalanced), balanced and unbalanced inputs, and preamp bypass inputs allow unprecedented compatibility with virtually any A/V component in both stereo and multi-channel installations.

The most commonly used features of the preamplifier can be controlled with an easy to use, six function, hand-held IR remote control.

A dual rate volume control allows precision level adjustments over nearly a 100 dB range. The volume control incorporates a permanently noiseless optical encoder that will always maintain its tactile feel, accuracy, and channel balance at all settings.

Optional high quality internal phono preamp modules are available.

Cosmetically and dimensionally, the Capri is the mate for the JRDG Model 102 Stereo Amplifier. The Capri’s sonic performance, interconnect capabilities, and feature set make it a capable preamplifier for any high-end system.

Synergy IIi Stereo Preamplifier

In 1996, the Synergy Stereo Preamplifier was released, creating a benchmark upon which other preamplifiers were to be judged. Debuting with an extremely compact and non-resonant chassis design with a separate AC power supply, the preamplifier immediately won praise for its outstanding presentation of the naturally recreated musical event.

In 1998 the Synergy was upgraded to Series II status, adding the flexibility and sonic benefits afforded by audio transformer coupling and a second pair of preamp-level outputs. This change in circuitry improved the unit's capacity to interface with diverse associated equipment.

In December of 2000, a new amplification board utilizing modern "small geometry" surface-mount technology gleaned from the Coherence II Preamplifier was designed and released for the Synergy II, lowering noise and distortion, and shortening signal paths dramatically. The current Synergy IIi presents a musical presentation that fully complements the current series of JRDG amplifiers and showcases their benefits without intruding upon the original source signal. Improved transient response, speed, and dynamics, increased transparency and neutrality, and an elevated level of detail retrieval and resolution combine to bring the Synergy IIi to a performance level significantly higher than was thought possible – without an increase in cost. The Jeff Rowland Design Group Synergy Series IIi - embracing our long tradition of applying state-of-the-art technology in the name of music.

Concerto Stereo Preamplifier

The Concerto Preamplifier reflects the sum total knowledge gained from nearly thirty years of Jeff Rowland Design Group's amplifier and preamplifier design experience.  Sonically, the Concerto rests among equals amidst the highest-quality units available.

The Concerto offers a simple feature set for ease of use with a large, high-visibility display for volume level indication.  The entire chassis is milled from a solid, massive block of 6061 aluminum to provide a vibration-free and EMI resistant enclosure for sensitive audio circuitry.

Dual, balanced line-level outputs, transformer-coupled balanced and unbalanced inputs, and preamp bypass inputs allow unprecedented compatibility with virtually any A/V component  in both stereo and multi-channel installations.

Modern Instrumentation amplifier circuitry allows an exceptionally low noise floor, revealing previously obscured information, detail, and microdynamics from all program material.

The Concerto is equally capable as the centerpiece of a quality two-channel audio system or a complex, cost-no-object home entertainment system.
