Cabinet and laser mechanism
The laser mechanism is Philips' best cast-metal Pro 2 model, mounted on a massive machined base for maximum rigidity and lowest jitter. Large use of damping materials reduces resonances on the cabinet and laser mechanism.Top-try, electrical movement with variable velocity; very silent, since the try slides on Teflon.
Digital circuit
The input signal from the laser mechanism as from the inputs is directly (at the same input frequency) converted or upsampled to 192kHz-24bit before the conversion. The Crystal Semiconductor 24/192 CS43122 DAC has been chosen for its resolution, musicality and dynamic range when matched to our full balanced, Class A analog output stage. Massive multiple regulated power supplies have been used to extend our CD ONE remarkable performances.
